    Description

1794 Half Cent, Normal Relief C-4a variety, authenticated / graded / encapsulated as Very Good Details (for being burnished), as someone did some burnishing of the coin.  Burnishing is an undesirable enhancement, but it did bring out the details, including this specimen's late-obverse-die state of a huge break in the southwest side and the slight reverse die rotation.  Anyway, this coin of only the SECOND year of U.S. minting, in the Washington Administration, is one of what is believed to be only 500 to still survive, and in highly good, collectible details condition.
The C-4a variety in the normal relief category means small edge lettering.  This coin, even burnished, graded high enough that we will offer it for now.  After some short period, we may pull it off to bring to a national-level auction, so you may note the NGC number if it does and you wish to track it again.  But for now -- offered for your interest!
