Description
Late 1800s/Early 1900s Estate brand coal or wood burning stove that was used for cooking food and providing heat in a railroad caboose or other train car. It is made of cast iron and is heavy. There is a small piece broken off on the top where the chimney connects, so if you plan to use this, it will need some extra flashing around the base of the chimney pipe. There is no chimney pipe with the stove. The original(?) lifter handle is here to take off the round covers to insert a pot in the hole, which kept pots in place while the train was moving. Inside there are two removable metal grates. This has been in storage for a while and will need to be cleaned, especially inside, which is rusty, but it's in great shape other than the one break.Measures 23" x 21" x 26" tall
