Half cent/penny 1797, 1 over 1 double struck both sides error coin

Description

Cohen 1 error coin. Double strike to obverse has doubled the dentils on the eastern rim with two poles and slightly doubled lips and lower bust outline; but unfortunately has left the date weak. Double strike to reverse has doubled the leaves and left the lettering on the eastern side appear like stick letters. Wear of a VF with mild environmental exposure. Quite the 225 year journey to present day. Fantastic unique specimen. Amazing find.
