I just purchased this antique Bohemian art glass bud vase from a local estate here in Central Virginia. The piece has a charming Art Nouveau inspired design with fluted glass insert fitted into a bronze patina mount. The ruffled glass insert with cased opal / nacre décor shows nice iridescence (I believe the insert was done byWilhelm Kralik Sohn). The organic mount features a spiral twig form with applied ivy leaf. The piece measures 7 3/8" high, 3 ½" across the fluted rim and 6" long at the base. The glass is in excellent condition with no damage. The mount is also in very good condition with a vintage patina. This charming bud vase would make a nice addition to your collection of early 1900's Kralik / Bohemian glass or Art Nouveau decorative arts.
