Brought from the village of Pisaq in the mountains near Cusco Peru .
This type of Poncho is used by the Andean people during festivities and special celebrations. It is handmade with the Awayu method. The designs are animals; Andean Condor and Incan geometrical designs.

Aguayo or "Awayu" is part of Andean cosmology. The aguayo is a hand-woven fabric with alpaca, llama or sheep wool, it is dyed with natural vibrant color.
