In the back of this home were the Haitian lady lived is a giant live oak tree several hundred years old. Hanging from this tree is Spanish Moss. She would take some of this Spanish Moss and use it for stuffing of her Voodoo Dolls. Within her spell book she writes that a doll stuffed with Spanish Moss from this tree should be used along with Cursing Oil. My mother would see her sitting every day under this tree chanting in Creole.
